Ayurvedic soothing immunity boosting tea

Now a days people are becoming conscious about the adverse effects adulteration of food and toxic effects of processed food. Thanks to media for highlighting these facts from time to time. However, we cannot refrain from staying away from adultered food and toxins. Our taste buds have evolved a long such that going back to raw, unprocessed, vegan food is near irreversible. But our bodies have not evolved to that extent to handle these harmful chemicals. We cannot do without pastries, cakes, pastas and deep fried food. Even if we stop eating junk and stick to home made food, we cannot escape the biologically transformed crops, pesticides and insecticideous food.
Well, this is one life and we should not restrict food in that manner. So what we can do is increase our immunity.
Today I will share a simple immunity boosting, refreshing tea recipe. This also aids to burn the fat stored in our body.
We can drink it as many times a day. I have been drinking the same for last 8 months and have been able to be in shape since then. I do eat out every weekend, do not exercise much and also love sweets to an unimaginable extent. This tea is the only healthy subsystem of my regime.
So, here goes the recipe:
Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp
Clove- 1-2
Tulsi leaves- 10-12
Saffron- 1 strand (optional)
Lemongrass – 2 leaves
Ginger- 1/2 inch grated
Honey- 2 tsp
Lemon- 1/2
Tulsi green tea- 1 tsp
Add 2 cups of water in a pot and put to flame. Add all the ingredients except tea leaves, honey and lemon. Let the water boil for 2 mins. Now remove from flame and add tea leaves and cover. Let it soak for 5 mins. Before staining, add honey and lemon and stir evenly.
Preferably drink on an empty stomach.
You can also cool it and refrigerate and have later. Cold tea is again very refreshing.
