Chilies, Indiranagar

We had planned the last dinner of 2016 at Chilies. The reason of choosing this venue was:

  • It was near to our Friend’s place
  • There are a variety of continental options available at Chilies
  • There is separate Kids menu available
  • No tension of parking space as valet parking was available
  • Last but not the least, we wanted to see the new year decorations across the 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar 🙂

Ours was a group of six including two kids. Owing to the anticipated rush, we landed up quite early to this place (around 7:45 pm).
The place had been  pretty nicely decorated to welcome the new year. Infact all other restaurants across both sides of the street had equally appealing décor.
We were greeted by the staff  upstairs who helped us feel comfortable. We managed to grab the leftmost corner location. It was surprising to see only few tables were occupied as we settled. However as the clock stuck 8:30, it became a complete houseful.
We -hungry souls ordered cheese pops, onion ring fritters and chicken wings as starters. Astonishingly, the food arrived extremely fast and we rushed to grab our portions. All of them were very nicely done.

The kids ordered pasta and coke. For main course, we ordered fish n chips, Fajitas and Philadelphia Cheese Steak. There was a separate new year menu card which had the  ”Best of 2016”. It helped us to  shortlist our choices.

The Fajita was too good- tortillas melted in mouth. We requested for a paneer and chicken filling which was not a usual combination. The staff gladly accommodated our wish in spite of the new year rush. The mashed potato which came along with the beef steak was below average. (Honestly, I make better mashed potatoes at home!) But the steak was extremely well done as per my hubby and his friend (I don’t consume beef) . My all time favourites -fish and Chips was a real disappointment:(
I could not make out what went wrong but the overall taste was not up to the mark. We were quite overdone with the starters and the main course so could not go for desserts. The fresh lime soda really helped to ease up after the heavy meal.

This meal costed us 4000 bucks, which I feel is quite reasonable. The valet parking wait time was just ten minutes. Meanwhile,  we took a few snaps and kids were played with balloons.
Over all a decent experience and my love to CHILLIES:)
